Embedded Signup (Recommended)
Embedded Signup lets you connect your WhatsApp Business Account to Whoxa CRM in minutes — Meta's own guided wizard opens inside a popup and walks you through business, WABA, and phone number selection. No manual credential entry required.
Whoxa CRM offers two ways to trigger this flow. Both open the same Meta wizard; they differ only in where you start from.
When to Use This
Use Embedded Signup if:
- You are setting up WhatsApp for the first time.
- You want the fastest path to a working connection.
- You prefer not to deal with Phone Number IDs, tokens, and webhook fields manually.
If you already have Meta credentials in hand (Phone Number ID, WABA ID, permanent access token), see Manual Configuration instead.
Entry Point 1 — First-Time Onboarding
Right after you finish registering your business, Whoxa CRM shows a Connect WhatsApp screen as the last step of the setup wizard.
- Click Connect to launch the Meta popup (steps below).
- Click Skip to go straight to the dashboard and connect later.
Entry Point 2 — From WA Chat
If you skipped onboarding, or need to reconnect:
- Open WA Chat from the sidebar.
- Click Integrate WhatsApp.
- In the modal that opens, click Integrate WhatsApp to launch the Meta popup, or or configure manually to enter credentials by hand instead (see Manual Configuration).
Steps Inside the Meta Popup
Once launched (from either entry point), Meta's own embedded signup wizard takes over inside the popup window:
1. Log In with Facebook
Log in with the Facebook account that has admin access to your Meta Business Manager, and review the requested permissions.
2. Select or Create a Business Account
Choose an existing Meta Business Portfolio and WhatsApp Business Account, or let Meta create new ones for you.
3. Review Business Information
If you're creating a new business, confirm the business display name, email, category, and country. Existing businesses skip this step.
4. Add a Phone Number
Pick how you want to be identified:
- Use a display name only — no dedicated number, display name shown in chats.
- Add a new number — enter a number not already active on any WhatsApp app; Meta verifies it.
- Add a phone number later — finish setup now, attach a number afterward from Business Settings.
5. Verify the Phone Number (OTP)
If you added a new number, enter the 6-digit code Meta sends via SMS or voice call.
6. Grant Permissions
Click Continue / Allow to grant Whoxa CRM access to manage your WhatsApp messages, templates, and business settings.
7. Complete & Return to CRM
The popup shows a Setup Complete confirmation and closes automatically. Whoxa CRM receives your account details, creates the connection, subscribes to the webhook, and shows a success toast.
What Happens Behind the Scenes
Whoxa CRM exchanges the authorization code from Meta for a long-lived access token, resolves your WABA ID and phone number, and subscribes your WABA to the CRM's webhook — all automatically. No manual credential entry needed.
Note: The exact screens Meta shows (business info, phone number options) can vary slightly depending on whether your Facebook account already has a Business Manager and WhatsApp Business Account. Skipped steps are normal.
Tip: If the popup closes without completing setup, or is blocked by your browser's popup blocker, click Integrate WhatsApp again to restart the flow.
